UK Landlords – serving a valid Sec21 Notice Requiring possession? (please read details)?

I live in a privately rented flat – my assured shorthold tenancy expired earlier this month & was not renewed as my landlord is selling – we are now therefore in what is known as a ‘monthly periodic tenancy’.

We have approached our local authority for assistnace due to personal circumstances meaning we cannot afford to continue to rent privately but they will not help unless or until my Landlord serves us with the correct notice – the letter she wrote us is apparently not valid (2 months notice with an end date corresponding to the date our rent is due/paid)

My landlord is not very efficient or clued up about her responsibilities and she is therefore struggling with serving us the required legal notice.

Is there anywhere online detailing the exact wording required for a legal sec21 notice or can anyone stipulate exactly what it must include to be legal and proper in order for the council to take us seriously?

Men – I need your honest opinions please … ?

OK, so i met a guy through online dating. Its gone well, lots of email exchange. He gave me his personal email address, which I responded too, he gave me his number, so we agreed a date to call. He unfortunately didn’t answer as he was working late, and emailed the next day to apologise and explain.

I mailed him back saying not a problem, give me a call when your free, I know your really busy this week. He mailed me back the next day so say super, i will definately give you a call tonight etc, and then didn’t. He also didn’t mail me today to apologise for not calling.

I know he was working late again (he is a complete workaholic), but i’m seeing this as a red flag.

Why get so enthusiastic, get to this point, push me to arrange a call then just back off?

I know he is interested, is this just a commitment thing, or a maybe he’s just not that into you thing?

I mailed him today so say we could catch up over the weekend, but i’m not sure whether i should call him or not, or if i should leave him too it? Maybe he nervous about the call and needs a nudge?

Any thoughts?
Thank you thats really helpful. I will leave it for a few days. That’s what I thought about doing to be honest, just didn’t want to send mixed messages after saying i’d call the weekend.

UK: Is anyone else trying to buy MJ tickets at 7am?

Me and 3 friends have been online and on the phone trying to get tickets. Everytime we select a date, the page says it’s processing and the wait time is 15mins….then all of a sudden the webpage expires? It’s happened to all 4 of us. Does this mean the system has crashed and no-one can get through or are we the unlucky ones?
Guys we just managed to get 4 tickets through amex card….after 3 hours!! i think just keep trying, we opened up 7 different windows and used one window for ticketmaster and the rest through www.aloud.com which directs you to ticketmaster but it seems to work better and doesn’t affect the other windows.
